It had been eight years since we last painted this Somerfield property, so it was due for a full refresh. Colonial-style windows were installed to create a striking feature and enhance the character of the home. Our work focused on carefully preparing and finishing these windows, along with sections of the gable ends. The detailed framework of the colonial style required precision to ensure sharp, consistent lines across every mullion and corner. Full-gloss enamel was used to achieve a high-impact finish, giving the windows depth and vibrancy while protecting them for years to come. This project demonstrates the value of meticulous preparation and product choice in achieving a premium finish that not only restores but also elevates the home’s exterior character.

It had been 2-3 years since this stunning home had its full cedar exterior oiled, making it the perfect time to give it the care it deserved. The project started with a comprehensive washdown to remove any mold, moss, dirt, and stains, ensuring nothing would interfere with the oil’s ability to penetrate the wood. Given that oiling can be a messy process due to the product's consistency, we took extra precautions to protect every part of the property, including the deck, windows, driveway, and foundations. We also carefully timed the work to shield us from wind and the elements. Finally, we applied Drydens WoodOil, a high quality penetrating oil that soaks deep into the timber over time creating an in-built, weatherproof coat that preserved the cedars natural beauty as the true feature.
Redcliffs - Weatherboard & Gable Painting
These were repeat clients of ours, with a home built around 10 years ago that had not been repainted since - making it well due for maintenance. The brief was to restore the exterior of their home to its original standard, using the same colours and products to achieve a like-new finish. Over time, the existing coating had begun to fail, with cracking and breakdown in exposed areas. We began with a full exterior wash down and protection of surrounding surfaces. Preparation was critical - removing all loose and failing paint, sanding back, spot priming & filling to a smooth, even surface, followed again by spot priming and raking out/sealing cracks to ensure long-term performance. A combination of airless spraying and hand applications were used to maximise efficiency without compromising finish quality - allowing us to complete the project in a timely manner while maintaining a consistent, high-end result across all surfaces. The end result was a home restored to its original condition - delivering a finish that looks as good as the day it was built.
